History

In 1992, after the Crazy Brothers club split up, six of the old members decided to form Harley Davidson Club Catalunya. The structure of the club grew little by little thanks to the addition of new members.

In 1993 the first Harley Davidson Club Catalunya meeting was organized at a campsite in Calafell, as the town hall was not able to let us use the pavilion where the two previous Harley meetings were held.
For many the meeting in 1993 was actually their third, as the previous meetings, even though organized by the same people, were actually organized by the Crazy Brothers in 1991, and in 1992 by HDC-Spain.

At last, in 1994 the meetings were able to take place on new ground, La Cantera, but not as we know it now. Then it was a rubbish tip, and the only place which the town hall could offer.
In 1995, now members of the federation of Harley Davidson Clubs of Europe (FHDCE), and with the tip cleared thanks to the efforts of many of the club members, the yearly meeting took place yet again.

During 1997 and 1998 the new clubs HDC Levante, HDC Aragón and HDC Gran Canaria were formed, and are administered independently. (Unfortunately HDC Aragón is no longer active.)

In 2000 the new road between Bellvei and Calafell was built, which sliced the area of La Cantera in half. This change is what inspired the proposal to the town hall to turn the area of La Cantera into how we know it today.

Administered partly by Harley-Davidson Club Catalunya,
La Cantera has not only been converted into our club house, but also into an enternainment area for everyone to enjoy.

Apart from the yearly meeting, HDC Catalunya also organizes other activities in other areas, such as the mushroom feast in Berga, the spring onion festival in Torredembarra, the traditional ride-out to Montserrat, the Christmas fair, etc.

During 2002 two new HDC clubs were formed: HDC Euskalherria and HDC Andorra.
